Professional Certificates in Design and Communications

In-depth professional career and skill set training for individuals or groups. Courses are designed to be taken in about 3-6 months, with a commitment of 3-6 hours a week. All modules are self-paced. Only study what you do not know. Our competency based programs offer career skills necessary for success in today's work environment. When you being a module you take a quiz and complete an assessment task (e.g., create a design, or write a paper). If you receive 90% or more on both the quiz and the task, you may proceed to the next module. Payment is based on a monthly fee. The more time you put in each month, the less you pay for the program. You are required to have Internet access, a working computer and course software. Software is not included in course fees. Reading assignments and additional resources are included in course fees, though each course includes suggested (not required) reading material that can be purchased additionally.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Graphic Design Certificate
For people aiming for creative services and design jobs. Through a series of assignments and projects, participants gain experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and build an online portfolio of real-world design solutions. Novice - advanced students. 6 Modules.
Web Design Certificate
For people aiming for web design freelance or creative positions. Through a series of assignments and projects, participants gain experience with Dreamweaver, HTML, Photoshop, and other web design tools, and build an online portfolio of real-world web design solutions. 6 Modules.
Social Media Marketing Certificate
For people who want to incorporate social media strategy, platforms and tactics into professional projects. Participants learn the basics of a variety of social media tools, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, WordPress and others; write blog posts; learn how to capture attention; and create quality interaction. Social Media is low cost and available, and this certificate program offers effective methods to make an impact leading to connection and sales. 6 Modules.
Digital Photography Certificate
